Express Entry is a system used by Immigration, Refugees and Citizenship Canada (IRCC) to manage applications for permanent residence from skilled workers. It is an online system that creates a competitive pool of candidates for immigration to Canada. Your eligibility is not tied to specific job offers, sectors, or regions, granting you flexibility in your immigration process.

Components of the Express Entry System

Federal Skilled Worker Program (FSWP): For skilled professionals with foreign work experience who wish to immigrate to Canada. You must meet criteria such as language proficiency, education, and work experience.

Federal Skilled Trades Program (FSTP): Targets skilled tradespeople with qualifications and experience in a trade. You must demonstrate proficiency in English or French and have at least two years of work experience in your trade.

Canadian Experience Class (CEC): Designed for those with Canadian work experience. You should have at least one year of skilled work experience in Canada within the three years before you apply.

Comprehensive Ranking System (CRS): You are scored within the Express Entry pool based on skills, experience, language ability, education, and other factors. High-ranking candidates are then invited to apply for permanent residence through regular draws from the pool.
